What can I say? It’s a good car with a good engine.

Why though?
I mean, it’s kinda neat, but getting the same power + more torque out of the 350 it likely already had would have been far cheaper/easier.....

... But somebody’s already done that, 5,000 times over . That’s why.

Seems like an awful lot of work to make the same power with less torque than the engine it already had could have..
There’s a reason it’s been done a lot, it makes sense, it’s cheap, its easy.
I’ll give the boys credit for thinking outside the box and having a cleanly built car with a unique swap, it just never makes sense to me to pull out an engine with loads of potential to drop in the newest craze engine.

Wow, I don ’t know how a 20 year old inline 6 could be considered ‘the newest craze’ compared to the fairly recent oversaturation of LS swaps, b ut whatever.

LS engines are over 20 years old as well.....

The LS swap trend is much less than 20 years old. Even about 10 years ago, they just rebuilt the stock motor.
